This website is a project I completed as a graduate student in photography at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and was submitted in partial fulfillment of the master's degree in photography.

What does it mean, to come from a place?

Is it the geographical place that is where you are from, or is it the people and culture you were brought up in that is "where you are from"? What constitutes a place and how does it determine our thinking and actions throughout our lives?
