I n many ways, a crush, with its capacity to inspire great feeling and passion, is a thing to celebrate.

Crushes enable me to tap into a great pool of awareness and creativity. I develop my ability to concentrate and remember by becoming attuned to the person I'm having a crush on. Sometimes I'll replay the things he said in my mind, trying to tease out meaning from a compliment or a revelation he made. I'll remember what he wore or how he looked. I re-arrange the letters of his name and look up the meaning of it in books.
