The Story of Urashima Taro

Urashima Taro went to the king, and thanked him for the visit. The king thanked him again for his assistance and humanity in saving his subject, the turtle.

"As a token of our appreciation," he said, "here is a precious box for you to take with you. But don't open it; it's best to keep it locked tight."

Urashima thanked him profusely, and set out on the journey home.

Once again, he climbed on the back of the turtle, and they made their way up through the immense regions of the sea.
